Something Personal

Sara became a Gramie!

On the evening of June 10, 2026, our grandson, Rhys Alan Hoskins, was born to our eldest son, Sean, and his wife, Melanie.

Weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 20 inches long, Rhys surprised us all by arriving three weeks early. From the moment he entered this world, he captured every heart in the room. He is beautiful, perfect, and our family is completely smitten.

They say there is nothing quite like becoming a grandparent, and now I understand why. There are moments in life that change you forever, and this is one of them. The joy I feel when I hold him is difficult to put into words. Watching my own child become a parent stirs emotions I never expected. And seeing the beauty, strength, and tenderness of our daughter-in-law fills my heart with gratitude. We prayed for Sean’s future wife for more than twenty years before we knew her name or her face. We didn’t know who she was, but God did. Looking at Melanie now, lovingly holding her son, I am reminded that God answers prayers in ways more beautiful than we could ever imagine.

There is a quiet peace in grandparenting. A gentle confidence that comes only with time and perspective. There is the joy of tiny diapers, precious outfits, and endless snuggles without the exhaustion that once accompanied them. There is a calm assurance that somehow, despite the uncertainties of life, things will be okay.

As I watch Sean and Melanie with Rhys, I am transported back to those early days of parenthood. I remember the sleepless nights, the constant worry, and the overwhelming sense of responsibility. I remember staring at my babies in wonder, marveling that God had entrusted such precious lives to my care. I remember believing that one wrong decision might somehow ruin them forever. I prayed constantly. I second-guessed myself often. There were days I felt inadequate and nights I felt alone.

Now, standing on the other side of those years, I see beyond the tired smiles and weary eyes of these new parents. I see the love. I see the sacrifice. I see the awe on their faces as they gaze at perfect little Rhys.

If I could offer one piece of wisdom from this season of life, it would be this: Hold your babies close. Enjoy the sleepless nights when they are tucked safely beside you. Let the laundry wait. Let the dishes pile up. A day will come much sooner than you think. when the house is quiet, the laundry baskets stay empty, and there is more than enough time to clean. What feels endless today is actually fleeting.

Do not spend your days worrying about your child’s future. Instead, place them in God’s hands and trust Him with the days you cannot see. Pour your love into the child who was uniquely and intentionally given to you. When you fall short—as every parent does—extend yourself grace. Learn from your mistakes, commit to doing better tomorrow, and remember that perfection was never the requirement. Love is.

As I hold my grandson, I am reminded once again that life moves swiftly, but God’s faithfulness remains. Generations come and go, yet His goodness endures. What a privilege it has been to be a mother. What a gift it is to become a grandmother. My heart has never felt so full.

And so, from this day forward, there is a new title I will gladly answer to – a name that already feels like one of God’s sweetest blessings: Just call me Gramie.

God is good, and His grace is sufficient for every season.

New Building Progress

Recently, our team had the opportunity to tour the framework of the building as construction continues toward its anticipated completion on September 1.

Pictured here is Marty with his younger children, Lyla and Judah, getting a firsthand look at the progress while sporting their hard hats on the job site. With construction activity happening all around them, it was a fun reminder of how much work, planning, and collaboration go into bringing a vision to life.

Conveniently located at the corner of Ten Mile and McMillan in Meridian, the new office will feature eight private offices and two conference rooms, creating a welcoming environment for client meetings, team collaboration, and educational events.

For our team, this project represents more than just a new building. It reflects our continued commitment to serving our clients and our growing community. We are excited to create a space where important conversations can take place, relationships can continue to grow, and clients can feel at home when they visit.

We look forward to sharing additional updates as construction progresses and to welcoming you into our new office in the months ahead.

Shakespeare Festival

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Shakespeare Festival client event!

It was wonderful to spend the evening with so many of our clients and to have the opportunity to meet the friends and family members you brought along. Events like these provide a chance to connect outside of the office, enjoy time together, and strengthen the relationships that make our work so rewarding.

We are grateful for the trust you place in our team and appreciate the opportunity to serve you. Gathering with clients in a relaxed setting is one of our favorite ways to stay connected and celebrate the community we’ve built together.

Throughout the year, we typically host several client appreciation events, and we look forward to sharing future opportunities to connect. If you enjoyed this event, we hope you’ll join us again—and feel free to bring a guest along to share in the experience.
